Congratulations to CTS alum Bere Gil Soto (MDiv and MAMFT, 2016), upon being named Program Minister for a new collaboration between the General Church of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the Indiana Regional Office. The shared initiative between the General and Regional expressions of the Christian Church was created to address the implications of systemic racism across local and national communities. The role will also equip congregations and leaders with resources for contextual and effective ministry.

As Program Minister, Bere serves in the Indiana Regional Office and Disciples Center, where she is completing implementation of the Region’s RECONciliation Tour project, and directing reconciliation educational programming. She is also managing communications and the congregation-based community organizing database.

A native of Central Mexico, Bere is a lifelong member of the Christian Church and serves as Minister of Worship for Iglesia Hermandad Cristiana in Indianapolis. She has been active in the Christian Church throughout her life and has served in numerous leadership capacities including Secretary of National Board of Youth Ministries and Moderator of the National Assembly.
