Luis Gierbolini

Rev. Luis Gierbolini trained in the culinary arts as an undergraduate, learning how creativity, hospitality, and the simple act of gathering people around a table can foster connection and healing. His ministry is rooted in the conviction that preaching is not just proclamation but participation in a communal dance of embodied spirituality, resilience, and collaborative spirit. He earned a Master of Divinity at Christian Theological Seminary and brings a preaching style that bridges cultural divides and invites people into deeper spiritual connection. His research interests are drawn from Afro-Caribbean, Latinx, and Process theologies alongside Black hermeneutics. Gierbolini seeks to position preaching as a site of decolonial resistance and spiritual emancipation, influenced by the liberative rhetoric of Pedro Albizu Campos. He currently resides in Indianapolis and serves as Interim Pastor of First Christian Church in Lafayette, IN.
