Aisha R. Lovens is an independent scholar whose interests lie at the intersection of Womanist Theology, Black Preaching, and sexual ethics. She earned her BA in Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Norfolk State University (cum laude) and both her Masters of Divinity (summa cum laude) and her Doctor of Ministry at the School of Theology of Virginia Union University. She is married to artist and scholar, Mia Haruko Lovens and, together, they provide ministry and Bible Study in their community.
