Lead Pastor

Lewis Creek Baptist Church of Waldron, IN is seeking a lead pastor dedicated to advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ through sound teaching, meaningful relationships, and service to others.

Qualifications

• College degree with seminary training
• Previous experience as a pastor
• Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, guiding the congregation toward spiritual maturity
• Experience in providing spiritual, personal, and family counseling with biblical guidance.
• Visionary leadership with strong goal setting skills

Responsibilities

• Present biblically sound engaging sermons to continually challenge, encourage, and growt the church through regular worship
• Prioritize pastoral calls on people in hospitals, nursing homes, and at home while providing spiritual support, comfort, and connection
• Actively engage in community outreach and foster relationships with local ministries and organizations to expand the church’s mission 
• Actively work to create programs and foster relationships that engage youth and young families
• Cultivate relationships while fostering a welcoming environment
• Work regularly at bringing new members into the church and follows up with newcomers
• Create a welcoming environment that fosters fellowship and a family atmosphere, encouraging all members to participate and connect regularly
• Motivate and empower congregants to take on active roles within the church
• Ex-officio member of all boards and committees
• Engage in ongoing personal spiritual growth

Reporting Accountability
Deacons:  Attend monthly meetings for spiritual support and encouragement

Pastoral relations:  Meet regularly for open communication, feedback, and to discuss congregational needs and performance evaluations.

Business meeting:  Provide a pastor’s report to the quarterly business meeting summarizing fulfilled duties outlined above in the past quarter.
