Constitution Day

Today we celebrate Constitution Day – a day that commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. It is a day worth celebrating because our constitution defines the structure of our federal government and contains the Bill of Rights which seeks to ensure that “We The People” are served by a government that does not violate our rights.

Below are some ways you can celebrate Constitution Day this year:

  1. September 15th, from 10am to 5pm, stop by the CTS Student Services Office, room 168 to enjoy some light refreshments in celebration of Constitution Day.
  2. Read the constitution– how familiar are you with our nation’s most important document?
  3. Read Ben Franklin’s speech at the signing
  4. Test your constitutional knowledge by taking one of these constitutional quizzes:
  5. Attend one of the virtual lectures or events
celebrating Constitution Day. The list of events
with links to register will be sent to all students on
    September 12th.
