Constitution Day
Today we celebrate Constitution Day – a day that commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. It is a day worth celebrating because our constitution defines the structure of our federal government and contains the Bill of Rights which seeks to ensure that “We The People” are served by a government that does not violate our rights.
Below are some ways you can celebrate Constitution Day this year:
- September 15th, from 10am to 5pm, stop by the CTS Student Services Office, room 168 to enjoy some light refreshments in celebration of Constitution Day.
- Read the constitution– how familiar are you with our nation’s most important document?
- Read Ben Franklin’s speech at the signing
- Test your constitutional knowledge by taking one of these constitutional quizzes:
- Attend one of the virtual lectures or events
celebrating Constitution Day. The list of events
with links to register will be sent to all students on
September 12th.
