
Kanessa Miller Doss, PhD, NCSP, LPC, NCC
Serving from the Alabama-Northwest Florida-Meridian Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Kanessa Miller Doss brings both passion and purpose to her ministry with children and families. She serves on the Children’s, Art, Recreation, and Education (C.A.R.E.) Ministry team for Disciples Home Missions, where she helps creates engaging learning tools, downloadable resources, and in-person trainings that equip caregivers and congregational leaders across the denomination. She is also a Children’s Worship and Wonder storyteller and trainer, using Montessori-based approaches to invite children into a sacred space of wonder, imagination, and meaningful worship.
In addition to her ministry work, Dr. Kanessa Doss is a Professor of Psychology, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, and a National Certified Counselor, bringing a rich blend of academic insight and real-world experience to her work.
With a heart for service and a background rooted in education and mental health, Kanessa is excited about encouraging children to be curious about God, creation, and their place in the world while making meaningful connections with others.
