During 2020, Christian Theological Seminary has remained committed to engaging with our many alumni across the country. Although physically dispersed like many organizations and congregations, we have leveraged technology to stay connected. Through online events like the Alumni Speaker Series launched last May, we have been able to come together as a community and dialogue about topics pertinent to the realities of this tumultuous year. We are truly grateful for our alumni and broader CTS community who have participated and engaged with us over the past several months.

As we look towards 2021, we are excited to continue the Alumni Speaker Series. In partnership with our Alumni Engagement Taskforce, we have developed a robust group of online events focused on areas expressed as needs of our community. Themes include discussions on congregational leadership, challenges of racial reconciliation, preventing burnout and clergy renewal and the future vision of the church.

SPRING 2021 ALUMNI SPEAKER SERIES

  • January 2021: The Impact of 2020: Shepherding Grieving Congregations
  • February 2021: Healing the Soul of a Nation: Is Racial Reconciliation Possible?
  • April – May 2021: Ministerial Self Care: Mind, Body, Spirit and Soul Series
  • When the Well Is Dry: Ministerial Leadership Burnout
  • Radical Self-Care: Sustaining Spiritual Practices
  • Embracing Inner Resilience: Strengthening Church Leadership
  • Therapy for Therapists: Preventing Caregiver Burnout
  • June 2021: Sustaining Faith: The Future of the Church

We are very much looking forward to hosting these dialogues. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue to provide valuable resources of support to our CTS alumni community in the year to come. See you in 2021!
