The National Catholic Reporter (NCR) Book Club recently praised the book ¡Santo! by Edwin David Aponte, the vice president and academic dean of Christian Theological Seminary.

NCR says the book sheds light on the history and future of the Latino community revealing the broad and complex nature of a culture that many Anglos have not fully grasped. Beginning from a common point of spirituality shared by the many national and regional groups within the Latino culture, Aponte examines aspects of life ranging from “traditional religion, life interpretation and explanations (sense-making), healing, health, wholeness, understandings of existence and the future, and balancing relationships at all levels of existence.”
