Drawing on the DELTA initiative—A Faith-Based Ethical Framework for Thinking About Powerful AI—the conversation will consider the common moral and spiritual pillars that unite Christian traditions as humanity enters an era shaped by powerful AI systems. The session will reflect on what “care of souls” means in a world where human identity, agency, and moral decision-making are increasingly mediated by technology.

Meghan Sullivan
Meghan Sullivan is the Wilsey Family College Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Institute for Ethics and the Common Good at the University of Notre Dame.
She leads Notre Dame’s Ethics Initiative, which serves as a hub for interdisciplinary research and teaching in ethics and includes the Jenkins Center for Virtue Ethics, the Notre Dame–IBM Technology Ethics Lab, and a range of fellowships and public programs. She is also principal investigator of a $50 million grant from the Lilly Endowment supporting DELTA: A Faith-Based Framework for a World of Powerful AI.
