
Landmark Columbus Foundation Book Launch
Join Landmark Columbus Foundation at Christian Theological Seminary on Thursday, July 11, to celebrate the long-anticipated release of American Modern: Community, Architecture, Columbus, Indiana.
In partnership with AIA Indianapolis, Indiana Humanities, and Christian Theological Seminary, this event will feature the book’s author and Columbus native, Matt Shaw; photographer, Iwan Baan; and designer, Alex Lin. There will be live piano music by Jasmine Yang (a recent graduate of Columbus North High School and the winner of the 2024 Betty F. Brown Awards for Instrumental Excellence), a cash bar, and complimentary snacks.

Program with special guests from the book and our partners, including CTS professor and archivist Dr. Scott Seay. The program has been submitted for 1.5 AIA Learning Units.
7:30 – 8:30 pm
Book signing in the lobby with the author, photographer, and designer.
CTS is pleased to co-host this book launch event with the Landmark Columbus Foundation and Indiana Humanities. Self-guided tours of CTS begin at 4 pm followed by a reception at 5 pm and book conversation featuring authors: writer and Columbus-native Matt Shaw (@mmattshaw), photographer Iwan Baan (@iwanbaan), and designer Alex Lin of Studio Lin (@studiolin), and CTS professor and archivist Dr. Scott Seay at 6 pm.
