CTS Talks: Rev. Dr. William B. Kincaid

Rev. Dr. William B. Kincaid

Dr. Bill Kincaid serves as the Herald B. Monroe Professor of Leadership and Ministry Studies at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis. Prior work at CTS includes serving as Director of Field Education, Interim Dean, and Interim President. He also developed and directed First Season Project from 2020-2025, which was a transition-into-ministry initiative that supported recent seminary graduates from around the country in their first three to five years of ministry after seminary. 

Bill is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with pastoral ministry experience in a variety of settings. Prior to joining CTS in 2008, he served as the Senior Minister of Woodland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Lexington, Kentucky, where he received that city’s Ally for Fairness Award. He was also a founding member and later President of The Interfaith Alliance of the Bluegrass.  

 He is the author of four books, including his most recent work entitled Come Again to the Circle: 40 Leaders Imagine the Church beyond COVID. He has contributed chapters to three edited volumes and published numerous articles and sermons. 

 Bill is married to Rhonda Yost Kincaid. They have two, young adult children, Andrew and Maggie.
