ABOUT CHRISTIAN THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY</strong></p>
<p>Christian Theological Seminary is a fully accredited ecumenical graduate school located in <a href="http://www.indy.gov/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Indianapolis, IN</a> related to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and serving the whole people of God. We welcome all faiths to explore/ engage in an intellectually rigorous, spiritually formative, and emotionally supportive education that equips our students to go out into all the world and serve—whether that’s in the church or out in the community. CTS also offers a robust counseling program that provides professional counseling preparation and spiritual/theological integration for those training to become mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, pastoral psychotherapists, and spiritual care specialists.</p>
<p>Serves all departments within CTS but works in closest collaboration with the Content Producer and Creative Director.</p>
<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and administration of CTS website</li>
<li>Output includes:
<ol>
<li>Bi-weekly updates to the CTS website, including updating existing pages and creating new ones in accordance with approved web design standard</li>
<li>Facilitation of recorded and live streaming events (chapel and requested events)</li>
<li>Video production (small scale); photography; b-roll</li>
<li>Podcast production as needed</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Manage and maintain online channels where video/animation is deployed (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, BuzzSprout, etc.)</li>
<li>Collaborate with CTS colleagues and partners to collect information and materials, that can be used to plan, develop, present, and execute non-traditional media concepts.</li>
<li>Encourages and facilitates consistent, creative, and unified web design across the organization’s web properties.</li>
<li>Ensure the website has accurate and current domain and hosting information to prevent potential downtimes</li>
<li>Assist with creating new content for the website or auditing its existing content to identify areas of improvement as needed</li>
<li>Oversee the planning and execution of multimedia campaigns</li>
<li>Review analytics associated with online channels (podcast, website, etc.) to report out on performance and recommend modifications to improve/enhance performance</li>
<li>Serve as associate producer for all videos produced to support the seminary</li>
<li>Collaborate with and support the greater Advancement team to positively impact brand recognition and improve engagement</li>
<li>Supervise outside talent in support of final deliverables</li>
<li>Commitment to uphold the Seminary’s mission, vision, and values</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>BA or equivalent technical credentials in media, film, or related communications field experience</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge of website management, analytics, design, and SEO best practices and standards.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn web content management systems, applications, and tools used by the organization.</li>
<li>Proficient with HTML/CSS; working knowledge of XML, SQL, JavaScript, and other programming languages.</li>
<li>Portfolio that demonstrates excellent creative thinking, written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effects, and WordPress CMS</li>
<li>Ability to plan ahead; proactively anticipate challenges; solve problems swiftly</li>
<li>Advanced computer skills: willingness to learn new things</li>
<li>Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail</li>
<li>Brand management acumen</li>
<li>Experience in higher education institutions and/or faith-based organizations a plus</li>

<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p>
<p>The registrar is responsible for the integrity, accuracy and security of academic records and information, and provides oversight for course registration, scheduling, and room assignments.  The registrar works collaboratively with seminary leadership, faculty, and staff to ensure that academic policies, federal and state laws, and accreditation requirements are fully met.  Additionally, the registrar interfaces with students through timely and effective communication regarding their academic status and other relevant information, as well as answering questions as they arise.</p>
<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Supervise and maintain all student and alumni records in Populi.</li>
<li>Oversees all operations related to the registration process to include:
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with Admissions to facilitate new student registration and onboarding</li>
<li>Consult with the Dean to evaluate transfer credit request</li>
<li>Notifying faculty and students of registration dates and processes</li>
<li>Provide annual degree audits and monitors student academic progress.</li>
<li>Oversee record management for students on academic probation and leave of absence or withdrawal requests and communicate to students and Dean.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Develop, monitor, and publish the course schedule, classroom assignments, academic calendar and academic catalog in consultation with the Dean and related staff.  Ensure academic related policy accuracy in the student handbook in consultation with the Dean and related staff.</li>
<li>Notify students and faculty of course evaluations deadlines and provide course evaluation reports to the Dean.</li>
<li>Supervise the collection and reporting of institutional data through Association for Theological Schools (ATS) Annual Reporting Forms, Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Annual Institutional Data Update, Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), Indiana Department of Education (IDOE), US Department of Education (DOE), and US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  Generate reports as needed for internal constituencies (e.g., President, Dean, Faculty, Academic Council and Board of Trustees.)</li>
<li>Manage Veteran’s Benefit cases including enrollment verification and certification of eligibility in coordination with the Business Office.</li>
<li>Act as chief compliance officer for the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).</li>
<li>Fulfill requests for academic transcripts and enrollment verification.</li>
<li>Conduct final degree audits and certify graduation candidates for approval by the faculty and board of trustees.</li>
<li>Assist in the planning for Commencement to include attending meetings, order and distribute caps and gowns, and distribute diplomas during the ceremony.</li>
<li>Serve on the Academic Council and advise President, Dean and Faculty on issues related to student demographics, enrollment trends, academic policy, procedures, and program development.  Provide related reports bi-annually.</li>
<li>Update registrar’s page on the CTS website.</li>
</ul>

<p><a href="https://www.cts.edu/">Christian Theological Seminary</a> (CTS) is searching for a director of annual giving to serve as an integral leader in a growing and mission-driven advancement team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive annual giving program in support of the Seminary’s mission.  Essential functions include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and execute a detailed, data-driven, and multi-year operating plan for annual giving.</li>
<li>Implement strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for goals and objectives and consistently track, evaluate, and communicate progress.</li>
<li>Develop/implement communications and solicitations building awareness of and affinity with the case for annual support and partner with appropriate colleagues on annual giving content for social media, website, publications, segmented appeals, and donor acknowledgments.</li>
<li>Collaborate with seminary colleagues, volunteer leaders, and alumni to identify annual giving prospects and steward donors.</li>
<li>Partner with the data resource coordinator to support the accuracy of constituent data supporting segmentation and outreach strategies, personalization of donor acknowledgments, and production of reports supporting program planning, implementation, and evaluation.</li>
<li>Partner with appropriate colleagues to implement shared alumni engagement and philanthropy objectives.</li>
<li>Prepare and maintain the annual giving program budget and serve as the primary liaison for third-party vendors supporting annual giving solicitation and recognition efforts.</li>
<li>Represent the advancement office and support seminary events/activities as appropriate.</li>
<li>Perform other duties and special projects requested by the vice president.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES</strong></p>
<p>The successful candidate will report to the vice president for advancement and should possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position and demonstrate experience and proficiency in the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Annual giving and/or related fundraising campaigns.</li>
<li>Time and project management skills, including attention to detail, deadlines, and deliverables.</li>
<li>Data-driven decision making and program evaluation; strong analytical orientation and capabilities.</li>
<li>Written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with diverse constituencies, including alumni, students, faculty, administrators, and volunteer leaders.</li>
<li>Established in the principles, standards, regulations, and practices in philanthropy, fundraising, and data/constituent confidentiality.</li>
<li>Database platforms for constituent relations management (CRM) and fundraising (experience with Raiser’s Edge a plus).</li>
<li>Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (experience with Adobe is a plus).</li>
<li>Interpersonal skills including empathy, collegiality, constructive candor, and tact.</li>
<li>Identifying and solving problems with creativity and diplomacy.</li>
<li>Managing multiple priorities and projects in a collaborative environment.</li>

<li>Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of annual giving and direct response/solicitation experience.</li>

<li>The ability to travel to meet with a wide variety of seminary constituents (some evening and weekend hours, as well as overnight travel, may be necessary on occasion).</li>

<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p>
<p>The program coordinator provides administrative and clerical support for the PhD Program Director and Assistant Director. This position will support various main office functions including preparing correspondence, answering phones, monitoring office inventory, and ordering supplies, maintaining calendars, and various other assignments as needed.</p>
<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Answering telephones, arranging for meetings and travel, and managing schedules for Affiliate faculty, program needs, students, and core stakeholders.</li>
<li>Helps in budgeting by providing estimated or accurate costs of travel, materials, labor, and equipment for the program; suggests cost cutting measures to save organizational expenses and applies appropriate codes/tracking mechanisms and system indicators for programmatic expenditures and travel.</li>
<li>Assist with Program scheduling, including meetings, appointments, and monthly travel demands on behalf of the PhD program; fulfills administrative needs including notes, itineraries, written material, documents, and archive considerations.</li>
<li>Serve as administrative liaison with PhD students for announcements and responding to all logistical student concerns and needs.</li>
<li>Coordination of materials within the CTS Learning Management System (Populi), and preparation/distribution of all materials for the PhD Committee.</li>
<li>Assist with writing, editing, and mailing of written correspondence, email communications, form responses and interest forms/inquiries on behalf of the PhD office.</li>
<li>Monitor group email to respond to inquiries and requests for information on behalf of the PhD program; Keep and update all academic files necessary for institutional reporting.</li>
<li>Coordinate PhD and Program Director Faculty mailboxes and distribute mail.</li>
<li>Interact with donors and prospects via gratitude letters, note cards, follow-up calls, special assignments and support as needed.</li>
<li>Participate as a liaison for team meetings to guarantee continuity between administrative, development, academic and leadership functions, timelines and needs of the program.</li>
<li>Work with communications’ team to assist with social media presence of PhD program.</li>
<li>Assist with planning and execution of PhD projects and events as well as insure PhD events interface with the CTS academic calendar and space parameters.</li>
<li>Meeting notes, attachments, records, and documentation are stored for historical record and ongoing reference.</li>
<li>Tracks historical documentation, materials, correspondence, and requests for ease of reference and metrics.</li>
<li>Assistance with graphics and chart designs for smooth flow and articulating of PhD processes.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Mission of Position: </strong><br />
The Human Resources Director serves in a multifaceted administrative position with primary responsibility for staff recruitment, job safety, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance with labor law and Title IX, and training and development of the employed community. While this person reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and Operations, they will also work closely with the other members of Senior Leadership, and all supervisory staff. Because Human Resources is a department of one, a breadth of HR knowledge and an ability in all facets of HR work is required.</p>

<li>Overseeing the hiring process for all members of staff, including contract and part-time employees, from development of advertisements and job descriptions to onboarding</li>
<li>Working closely with Vice President of Academic Affairs/Dean of the Faculty and faculty in hiring of new faculty members and adjuncts</li>

<li>Fulfill the role of Title IX Coordinator as outlined in CTS policy.</li>
<li>As Title IX Coordinator management of all employee compliance training for Title IX, ADA, labor law, and other legal requirements mandated by local, state, and federal governments, including critical knowledge testing, documentation and record storage.</li>
<li>Working closely with Vice Presidents, provide Title IX orientation and training to students, faculty, staff, and trustees as needed</li>
<li>Maintain awareness of changes or new regulations and update all relevant policies as needed.</li>
<li>Pursue complaint investigations with attention to timeliness and confidentiality. Report findings to leadership and advise action steps.</li>
</ul>

<li>Facilitation of employee conflict resolution, keeping in contact with employees involved in conflict and their supervisors</li>
<li>Working closely with appropriate supervisors in termination of employee decisions, ensuring that local, state, and federal regulations and the policies of the Seminary regarding such decisions are followed, and that official records of the decisions and actions leading to them are maintained in accordance with privacy laws</li>

<li>Maintenance of faculty/staff personnel files and records, including job descriptions, performance reviews, training attendance and critical knowledge verification.</li>
<li>Working closely with Vice President of Academic Affairs, Associate Dean of Student Life, and Registrar in ensuring student and employee compliance with FERPA, ADA and other student-related laws</li>
<li>Ongoing knowledge and communication of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law</li>
<li>Advising administrators regarding human resource and benefit trends and personnel needs and concerns</li>
</ul>

<li>Five to seven years&#8217; experience in the field of human resources</li>
<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree required; master&#8217;s degree preferred</li>
<li>PHR/SPHR certification and/or SHRM certification preferred</li>
<li>Expertise in use of Microsoft Office software products including but not limited to Office 365, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Human Resource Information Systems, and other programs used by the Seminary in support of its employees</li>
<li>Thorough knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act, Title IX, HIPPA, FERPA, COBRA, and other federal and state regulations as they relate to higher education</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal/written communication skills</li>
<li>Commitment to uphold the Seminary’s mission, vision, and values.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines</li>
