DESCRIPTION:Black History Month Lecture at CTS \nExplore how the logics of sacramentality lay important groundwork for the violent logics of white supremacy. By thinking about violence and anti-Black practice along the theological axis of sacrament and grace, we register these practices as problems for how we imagine and experience the very presence of God.\nRev. Nick Peterson is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Graduate Division of Religion at Emory University. His research explores racialization as a theological practice of violence.
