IMPD K9s & Butler U’s Trip Receive Blessing of the Animals

Christian Theological Seminary students will perform pastoral blessings of IMPD service dogs and Butler University’s mascot, Trip, in honor of the annual Saint Francis Assisi Feast. The blessings express gratitude for the service, protection and companionship animals give to our community and will be conducted in the courtyard of the seminary.

St. Francis Assisi is the patron saint of animals. More than eight centuries after he founded the Franciscan order, his compassion for animals continues to be celebrated in communities throughout the world.
