Praise for Life in God

One year after its publication, Christian Theological Seminary President Rev. Dr. Matthew Myer Boulton’s book, Life in God, John Calvin, Practical Formation and the Future of Protestant Theology (Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co.) has been selected by Christian Century as one of the “best books of the year” in the practical theology category.

Life in God moves beyond intellectual analysis of doctrine, to explore how John Calvin’s Institutes of the Christian Religion can help modern Christians apply Calvin’s writings not just to scriptural and theological study but to daily practices and disciplines including prayer, worship, Psalm singing and reception of the Lord’s Supper.

Reviews and an excerpt from Life in God are available at http://www.eerdmans.com/Products/6564/life-in-god.aspx. The book is also available for sale at the Christian Theological Seminary bookstore and on amazon.com. Matthew Myer Boulton and his wife Elizabeth Myer Boulton are frequent contributors to Christian Century.
