Application Checklist (for applications begun before 4/6/16 using the old application form)

The following items are necessary before your application for admission can be considered.
  1. Completed application.
    • Online application - Select your degree program on the Apply for Admission page to go to our Inside CTS portal, and complete your online application  
  2. A recently updated personal resume. Mail your resume to the address at the bottom of this page or attach it to an email.
  3. Two recent portrait-style photographs, approximately 2" x 2." Or attach a photograph to an email.
  4. Non-refundable application fee. Click here to pay the fee online.
  5. A personal statement (not to exceed 5 pages double-spaced) describing the formative influences on your life, your values, and your sense of religious vocation. We urge you to refer to particular ideas, people, events, family of origin, films, theatre, works of art, church relationships, etc. This statement should express your reasons for seeking seminary education, what you hope to gain from such an education, and what you feel you might contribute to seminary life.   6. Four personal references. Use this form (PDF).
    • You should fill in your name and place a check next to your degree program on the letters of evaluation.
    • You should sign the waiver of rights option.
    • You should contact your references (please do not use family members), and give them the reference forms from CTS. We recommend that you supply references with stamped and addressed envelopes.  References should mail their completed forms directly to the seminary as indicated on the form.
  7. Official transcripts of ALL courses and grades from each college or university you have attended.  Transcripts must bear the original seal and signature of the registrar and be mailed directly to the seminary.
  8. A personal interview with a Student Services Associate is required. Email the Admissions Office to arrange an interview

PLEASE NOTE: The following priority admission dates and application deadlines

All Masters Degrees:
Fall Priority Admission (gives preferences on scholarships): March 15
Fall Admission Deadline (No materials accepted after this date): June 15
Spring Priority Admission: October 15
Spring Admission Deadline: November 15

Doctor of Ministry Degree:
Fall Admission Deadline (no spring admission): June 15
