In case of emergency

The CTS campus is patrolled by the Butler University Police Department.  In case of emergency, call the BUPD at 940-9999.  For non-urgent matters, please call the BUPD at 940-9396.   Because of their proximity to campus, BUPD will always respond to emergencies more quickly than the Indianapolis Marion County Police Department.

Fire emergencies should be reported by calling 911.

Campus Safety

Each year CTS compiles crime statistics and submits reportable crimes to the U.S. Department of Education.

The following information is provided as a service to the community in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act [20 USC 1092].  You may also review the submitted data on-line at http://ope.ed.gov/security/.  Based on their requirements some reports of criminal activity are not reported but kept on file in a separate crime log that is kept in this office.

CTS's relationship with Butler University and the Butler University Police Department (BUPD)

Christian Theological Seminary is a separate entity from Butler University.  We do, however, maintain a contract with BUPD to provide regular patrols and emergency response by their police personnel.  We also contract with BUPD to provide the “Code Blue” emergency poles in the event of an emergency on our campus.  These poles are continually monitored by the BUPD dispatchers and maintained and inspected on a regular basis by Butler University.

While CTS does have an operational and academic relationship with Butler University there is no organizational reporting structure between either entity.  In the event of an emergency requiring assistance or to report a crime, suspected criminal activity, or other emergencies, please contact the Butler University Police Department (BUPD), Director of Facilities Management (CTS) or other law enforcement authorities by calling:
