Anxiety Support Group

The Anxiety Support Group is a 10-week program that offers support to those who experience generalized anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, and obsessive/compulsive tendencies.  This program is designed to provide emotional support in a safe space while offering psychoeducation to: recognize symptoms and sources of anxiety, increase self-awareness and apply a variety of techniques/ exercises to manage anxiety.  This group will take place on Wednesday’s 6:00-7:30pm beginning May 3, 2017 and ending July 5, 2017.  The fee for the 10-week program is $26 per person with a required commitment to at least 9 out of the 10 meetings.

NAMI Group

NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) offers a program in which persons with mental illness and families of persons living with mental illness learn from each others’ experiences, share coping strategies, and offer each other encouragement, understanding, and support.  This group is open to all individuals with mental illness or family members of individuals with mental illness. There is no charge to attend this group. Monday nights from 7:30 pm-8:30 pm at the CTS Counseling Center.

CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS 4 Emotional Well-Being

CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS 4 Emotional Well-Being is an 8-week group for tweens and teens (12-15) that uses creative arts to process emotions.  CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS is designed to address issues related to emotional regulation, social anxiety, self-esteem and overall emotional wellness.  Group will take place on Wednesday's from 7-8:30 pm February 1st-March 22nd, 2017.  Space is limited so contact facilitator Shar'ron Mason, Marriage and Family Therapist Associate at 317-931-2379 ext. 5174 or symason@cts.edu to see if CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS is a good fit for your tween/teen.

Post-Election Comfort and Care

Post-Election Comfort and Care is a 12-week support group free of charge to the Indianapolis community. It is designed to provide a safe space to share and process concerns, responses, and experiences resulting from particular issues brought to the foreground since the November 8 election. Group will take place on Thursday evenings beginning December 8, 2016 from 6-7:30pm* until March 9, 2017. *Group will not meet December 22 and 29.
